ATTENTION JACKSON COUNTY HOME OWNERS: If you received any damages from the June 23rd Severe Storm, you should report to the FEMA Mobile Information Unit located on N. Maple and Main Street, Ripley, WV. The FEMA Mobile Unit will be open for business starting Saturday, July 9th, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and will be open on Sunday through all next week. If you received damage to culverts, private bridges, driveways, structural damage to homes, etc. please report to the FEMA Mobile Unit and register for assistance.
Welcome to the Jackson County WV 9-1-1 Communications Center located in Ripley, WV. Our mission is to enhance and preserve the quality of life for every citizen in Jackson County by processing emergency calls to save lives, protect and reduce property losses and preserve our environment; thereby dispatching law enforcement agencies, fire departments and emergency medical service units in an efficient, courteous and professional manner creating a safer county to live, work and visit.
Our Communications Center is manned 24/7/365 by a minimum of two professional telecommunicators on twelve hour shifts.
Our website will contain information pertaining to various events that take place at our center. The information will include: (a) call volume by agency on a monthly basis; (b) county ordinances on Flood Plain Permits and Addressing and Mapping; (c) Jackson County, WV Warrant List; ; and (d) a sign up section for the WARN System as well as other information.
